I have all three sizes of this canister in Cherry Red. I have two of this particular size and use them to store coffee right on my counter top. One is for regular and one for decafe. Each one holds about 3/4 of a pound of coffee and its stays very fresh thanks to the plastic gasket. Hint: Don't overfill or the product gets in the gasket and then spills out each time you open it. The two larger canisters each hold a full bag of sugar and a full bag of flour. Very convenient when it's time to bake. All the Le Creuset colors are so bright beautiful and finishes are flawless. Meant to last a lifetime. If you like these, check out the spice jars. They are fabulous, too.

Le Creuset small canister holds 2 1/2 qts. Silicone rims keeps lid on securely and product fresh.Collect all three of Le Creuset's canisters and add a splash of color, not to mention convenience, to your kitchen. The smallest canister holds up to 2-1/2 quarts of tea, sugar, coffee, candies, or other treats. A silicone seal on the lid helps keep the contents fresh. Made in France of high-fired stoneware with a non-porous enamel glaze, the canister won't absorb odors or flavors, resists staining and chipping, and is dishwasher-safe. A choice of colors embellishes the exterior of the jar and lid in a graded fashion, from dark to light. The interior is glazed a neutral tone.
