Customer Review: Black Onyx Color GORGEOUS. Whips Up A Beautiful Meringue

First, let me say that when you take this one out of the box, you will probably gasp. It is just that beautiful. The Black Onyx color is like nothing I have ever seen: extraordinarily rich. Then when you put that gorgeous color in a whisk of this quality, it becomes a spectacular looking kitchen utensil, almost like artwork for your kitchen.
This is one of several Le Creuset Black Onyx utensils that I own and treasure. As a Southern cook, I enjoy using it to make a batch of scrambled eggs or the meringue for a "Southern" banana pudding. It produces a great meringue with tall peaks.
All-Clad, Cuisinart, and other makers of fine stainless steel cookware recommend using wooden or silicone utensils, not metal. These Le Creuset silicone utensils are heat safe up to 800 degrees Farenheit! The silicone will not harm your beautiful cookware.
If you like this one, I suggest the Le Creuset Small Spatula, Black Onyx or the Le Creuset Pasta Fork, Black Onyx.
I first became interested in the Le Creuset silicone utensils after I purchased the Cuisinart Multiclad Pro Stainless Steel 12-piece Cookware Set. I have been thrilled with these utensils as they absolutely will not scratch.
