Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Le Creuset Enameled Cast-Iron 6-3/4-Quart Oval French Oven, KiwiCustomer Review: Le Creuset Summary: 3 Stars
The product was of good quality but extremely overpriced based on subsequent findings. In fact I returned the item (and I have been waiting for a refund for nearly three weeks now!) because I found it locally in a cooking store at a price of more than $100 less than what I paid Amazon. Even with paying postage both ways totalling $40.00 the new source was a better deal.
So much for Amazon's assertions of competitive prices and good customer service.
I returned the item to you under RMA 0102-150549839 per your return policy on January 2, 2008. Although I have communicated with the department and know that they have received the item back, I'm still waiting for an Le Creuset 6-3/4 Quart Wide French Oven, Kiwiactual result.

Bold colors, timeless design and its singular performance - from oven to stovetop to table - make it a welcome part of any kitchen. Extremely heat efficient and works on any cooking surface. Beautiful enough to bring to the table, yet durable enough to outlive its 101-year warranty against defects, this heavy casserole is perfect for preparing and ceremoniously serving dishes such as choucroute garni and braised lamb shanks. The oval shape handles big cuts of meat and big birds. Use it in the oven or on the stovetop for soups and chili. The oven holds 6-3/4 quarts, and its exterior and interior are clad in two coats of Le Creuset's famous bright enamel. The plastic knob on its heavy, tight-fitting lid is oven-safe to 450 degrees F. Loop handles facilitate carrying, and the casserole is dishwasher-safe. Like all Le Creuset cast-iron products, it is hand-cast in a one-of-a-kind sand mold and hand-finished at the Le Creuset factory in France. The French oven measures 10-1/7 by 15-1/4 by 7 inches. --Fred Brack
